University for peace

 

The University for Peace Association was founded on the basis of the Regional Law n. 9 from 2002 “Regional activities for the promotion of human rights, of a peace culture, of cooperation for development and of international solidarity”. Its P7 logoaim is to foster the development of a peace culture, based on respect for human rights, on the diffusion of principles of democracy and participation, on the valorisation of ethnic, religious, cultural and gender differences and on the protection of the environment.

Its heritage is composed of all the initiatives, activities, actions and research carried out by the local institutions, associations and schools of peace of the Marche Region throughout the years with the aim of spreading a peace culture.

ROLE OF UNIPACE WITHIN THE PROJECT

Within the AGE project, University for peace:

– made available its rich network of associations (local, national and international), its network os social relations with local and territorial institutions and its relations with the educational institutions of the Marches territory (all Marches Universities and many educational institutions present in the area, among them the Schools of Peace) with the aim of promoting and diffusing the activities and events part of the AGE project.

– committed to give maximum exposure to the first (exhibition in Macerata) and the second (exhibition in Ascoli Piceno) event all over the Marches territory, using also its communication channels.

– provided visibility through its network also for the activities that will take place in Europe.
